Fractures Sosa’s board into many small, overlapping ones, each tilted at its own angle and each pinching toward its own centre of gravity. Where earlier works in the series held a single field, distorted or fragmented but still unified, #087 suggests something closer to memory or comparison — many boards laid over one another, each a complete cycle of choice and consequence, none quite aligned with its neighbours. The shift into blue and violet lends the piece a cooler, more contemplative mood than its predecessors, as though the artist were looking back across several of life’s chapters at once rather than dwelling inside a single one.

The work continues Sosa’s ongoing exploration of the chessboard as a diagram of consequence, now testing what happens when that diagram is allowed to multiply and overlap — each panel still whispering we are the choices we make, but in chorus rather than solo.
