A twelve-sided polyhedron tilted into isometric space, its visible faces rendered in soft periwinkle striped with white, creating a sense of gentle depth and dimensionality. Around the perimeter, eight triangular markers in bright orange-red with white outlines punctuate the form like eyes or warnings. Dark navy faces turn away into shadow, suggesting the volume of unseen sides. At the absolute centre, occupying the heart where all visible faces converge, blooms a radiant geometric flower in pure red — eight pointed petals arranged in a star, rendering the invisible centre suddenly visible, suddenly aflame.

Statement

Checkeredism #111 escalates the dimensional complexity introduced in #110. Where the cube offered three visible faces and contained multiplicity, the dodecahedron suggests vastly more facets, more sides, more hidden surfaces. The gentle periwinkle palette and striped texture create a sense of softness, almost fabric-like, yet the form remains rigorously geometric.

The red flower at the centre is crucial — it breaks the cool restraint of the outer form, suggesting that deep within this complex, multifaceted object burns something passionate, something irreducible to geometry, something that demands to radiate outward. The eight pointed markers around the perimeter read as both decoration and warning: here is a complex thing, many-sided, but look — at its heart burns something unmistakably alive.

Sosa proposes that we are not just the choices we make, but also the geometric container of those choices, the hidden faces we cannot see, and the bright thing that burns at our centre, insisting on visibility despite the complexity that surrounds it.
