A three-dimensional cube tilted into isometric perspective, rendered in precise black and white line work with extraordinary intricacy. Each visible face contains a different nested pattern — alternating triangles and stripes on one, concentric diamonds and squares on another, radiating lines creating depth on a third — yet all share the same language of black and white geometry. The edges where faces meet are rendered with shadow, creating the illusion of solid volume. At the absolute centre where all three visible faces converge sits an impossibly small, intricately detailed geometric form — almost spider-web-like, a final nesting of pattern within pattern. The composition floats against white, a perfect object suspended in space, complete and multifaceted.

Statement

Checkeredism #110 marks a threshold in three dimensions. Throughout the series, Sosa has moved from the flat plane of the checkerboard toward increasing complexity and depth; with #110, that journey crystallizes into a perfect geometric form capable of containing multiple truths simultaneously. The cube — that fundamental shape of mathematics, architecture, and philosophy — becomes a metaphor for the self as a multifaceted object, each face showing a different pattern, a different choice, a different consequence.

Yet the patterns on each face do not conflict; they cohere into a single unified object. The tiny geometric form at the centre where all faces meet suggests that beneath the multiplicity lies a singular point of coherence — that we are, after all, one person navigating many sides of ourselves. We are the choices we make, Sosa insists, and we are also the geometric container that holds all those choices in three-dimensional space, visible from multiple angles, never showing the whole at once, always suggesting hidden faces and depths.
