The grid returns, but violently transformed. A checkerboard warps and bulges across the composition in burning orange and deep navy, its regular squares fragmenting and exploding outward into multiple starburst patterns that radiate like fireworks or like the moment of impact. Bright white reflections flare across the surface as though light were being shattered by the force of these radiations. The entire field seems to exist in three dimensions now, no longer flat, the checkerboard compressed and stretched as though the accumulated pressure of choices had finally cracked the surface, sending concentric waves outward in all directions simultaneously.

Statement

Checkeredism #105 returns to the grid after the flowering interlude of #103 and #104, but transformed by violence, by rupture, by the collision of accumulated forces. Where earlier distortions in the series suggested gentle pressure or gravitational pull, #105 suggests explosion — multiple points of impact simultaneously, each one sending shockwaves outward through the orderly field.

The orange and navy create a complementary vibration, colours that seem to hum against each other, refusing rest. The white flares read as revelation, as the moment when hidden forces become visible through sudden rupture. Sosa suggests that consequence is not always gradual accumulation; sometimes it is sudden release, violent flowering, the moment when order shatters and something fiercer emerges.

The series moves deeper into its second third, building toward some necessary reckoning.
