Checkeredism #101
Past the threshold. The density intensifies further — the tiny rosettes now so compressed that the magenta ground becomes mere threads, barely visible between the tightly woven spheres. The composition has moved from representation toward something closer to texture, to fabric, to the granular surface of lived time itself. Each individual circle remains theoretically complete, theoretically infinite, yet functionally invisible — absorbed into the larger weave, the larger pattern, the larger consequence.

Statement
With #101, Sosa crosses into the second third of her 333-work commitment. Having reached the centrepoint of saturation in #100, she now deepens the compression, allowing individual form to dissolve further into collective texture. The magenta that once sang against the pattern now appears almost as afterthought, a breath between densely packed choices.
The work marks a subtle but crucial shift in the series’ mood: from the celebration of multiplication toward something more sobering, more reckoning. As the individual choices compress toward invisibility, as the self becomes absorbed into the sheer density of consequence, Sosa asks what remains visible? What persists? We are the choices we make — but when those choices pile upon each other in such density, do we still recognize ourselves? The series pushes toward this question with every new iteration, every new compression, every new saturation of the field.
