Checkeredism #099
The mandalas proliferate. Where #098 held sixteen forms in austere geometry, #099 expands the grid to 8x8 — sixty-four identical mandalas packed tightly against one another, their edges nearly touching, their black-and-white radial symmetries creating a tessellation so dense the eye can barely distinguish individual forms from the collective pattern. The magenta ground almost disappears beneath the multiplication. The effect is hypnotic and claustrophobic simultaneously — a field of perfect repetition approaching the density of infinity, each mandala complete in itself yet indivisible from the whole.

Statement
Checkeredism #099 marks the approach toward completion. Moving from sixteen to sixty-four mandalas, Sosa multiplies her forms toward a kind of saturation — the individual choice, the individual pattern, the individual self, now overwhelmed by sheer number. The work raises a question: At what point does repetition become erasure? When does pattern consume the particular?
Yet within this dense field, each mandala remains complete, irreducible, infinite in its own complexity. Sosa suggests that we do not lose ourselves in the collective — we are multiplied by it, held in relation to countless others navigating their own interior mazes. As the series approaches the round number of one hundred, it builds toward a kind of apotheosis: the recognition that we are the choices we make, and there are as many ways of making those choices as there are selves to make them.
