Checkeredism #095
A radical formal break: the pixel-checker texture vanishes entirely, replaced by a new language of linear portraiture. Against a vivid cobalt ground, twenty-four diamond-shaped panels are arranged in a precise grid, each one containing a face rendered in fine white lines with delicate accents of cyan and rose — the features cubist and angular, as though each portrait were faceted into planes of emotion and decision. The diamonds touch at their corners but do not merge; the blue void between them reads as silence, as separation, yet the geometric regularity holds all these distinct individuals together in a single, unified composition.

Statement
Checkeredism #095 signals a technical and conceptual maturation of the series’ portrait turn. Where #092 and #093 embedded faces within the pixel-checker grid, #095 presents them as discrete, sculptural objects — each face clearly legible, each one looking outward with its own particular intensity and geometry. The white linear rendering makes each portrait feel carved or etched, as if the act of choice has left visible marks on the surface of the self.
The cobalt void that separates these faces is crucial: it suggests both isolation and connection, the paradox that we are each singular yet arranged, each a distinct choice yet part of a larger pattern. Together, the twenty-four faces form a community portrait — a reminder that we are the choices we make, and that those choices take their shape against the silence and space that surrounds us.
