Checkeredism #091
A surge of electric intensity after the restraint of #090: the palette explodes into neon yellow, aquamarine, magenta, and violet, each colour built from the same dense pixel-checker the series has used throughout, but here they’re arranged in nested squares that spiral and fold inward like a series of boxes opening onto one another. The board swells and undulates as though its surface were liquid, the tight geometric squares stretching and compressing as they approach invisible axes that run horizontally and vertically through the work, creating the illusion of the grid itself folding along those lines like fabric.

Statement
Checkeredism #091 returns the series to colour saturation but with an almost hallucinatory intensity — the neon palette suggesting not calm consequence but its opposite: the dizzying, overwhelming accumulation of choices layered upon choices, each one folding inward toward smaller and smaller centres. Where #090 had stripped back to black and white to show the tangle underneath, #091 floods the same structure with colour and watches what happens when choices are compressed and reflected inward, creating a kind of visual vertigo.
The nested squares read as mirrors or echoes — each choice spawning smaller choices, consequences generating further consequences, until the grid becomes less a record of a path taken than a kaleidoscope of every possibility held in suspension at once.
