Checkeredism #077
A chromatic temperature map rendered as pure grid: a checkerboard held rigid by thin red lines, each square filled not with texture but with a single flat colour drawn from a vast gradient that flows across the composition. The edges and corners pulse cool — deep purple, slate blue, cyan — before the palette warms toward the centre, transitioning through sage and chartreuse, then orange, coral, and finally a concentrated hotspot of magenta and fuchsia at the work’s heart. The effect is almost meteorological, as though the grid were a thermal imaging of emotional or psychological intensity — the warmest colours marking where the most consequential choices cluster.

Statement
Checkeredism #077 visualizes consequence as a distribution of heat. Where earlier works in the series render choice through texture and distortion, #077 uses colour temperature as its primary language — the cooler hues suggesting restraint or distance, the warm centre suggesting intensity, pressure, the accumulated weight of decisions pressing toward a single point. The rigid geometry of the red grid emphasizes the work’s underlying logic: that consequence is not random but distributed, patterned, almost cartographic.
The work reads as a map of a life’s interior landscape, colour standing for the temperature of feeling, the warmth of memory or regret, the cool zones of untouched possibility. It suggests that we are the choices we make is not a metaphor but a measurable fact — visible if you know how to read the heat.
